We are very please to have won both the Scottish and UK awards for the best natural burial ground in 2024..
Unfortunately we suffered quite a lot of damage from storm Arwen and had to take down quite a lot of trees but we are slowly getting things put to rights and hope to have the affected trees replaced soon.
Our new dedicated tree area is proving popular and we have noticed an increased demand for interments of ashes so can now offer 3 alternatives for those who want this service. They can either have a place round the edge of the circle, have a dedicated tree planted in the new wood area or a place in the same area beside our newly planted hedge.
Our biodegradable-only policy for tributes is making progress but there are still some coming in with oases or bits of plastic or metal which we do not allow so please remember to adhere to our policy.
If there is a power cut we cannot provide electricity for heat and light in the hall or toilet facilities though we do have a gas heater. In case of this scenario we would try to hire a generator but failing this those facilities would not be available.
